This is kind of creepy.

Where am I?   Did I take a wrong turn?   Is it safe around here?

These were a few thoughts the first time I took a walk on this road. Then recently as I was getting my stride on I thought about you. Yes, you.

How often we are on our journey and we think the road looks scary and untamed. It can’t be “my path”, surely not. Maybe I missed an exit or something.

So I have a thought to challenge you with today.

Perhaps that untamed road is really a season of reclaiming you. Reclaiming and restoring the inherent core of YOU!

I love to take my trail walks out at my local battlefield, Stones River National Battlefield. It is my place of peace. And this road you see was previously part of the driving tour. However, they are reclaiming this area and restoring the natural habitat around it. Pretty clever.

And, back to you…. this led me to think about our own paths in life.

Perhaps this rough, scary, untamed road is really a season of reclaiming you.
